Floor PedalThe renowned FX manufacturer Boss, with its Legend Series, is offering overdrive pedals which reproduce the sounds of selected amp legends.
A Marshall model can't be left out, of course, and it must be said that the ST-2 (ST stands for Stack) really keeps its promises. Instead of the gain control there is sound, and indeed: From Crunch to Drive to Ultra, the classic Plexi crunch sounds can be produced just like the '70s master volume sounds or modern high-gain attacks. In every setting it sounds like the aggressive, but simultaneously warm (tube-like), bite of the British amps. Works with any amp.
